A Little More About Me…
My name is Jane Hanson, I am based in Nettleham, Lincoln, and I am a level 5 counsellor having been awarded the:
ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN COUNSELLING SKILLS AND THEORY (LEVEL 5), WITH DISTINCTION.
I am trained in the person-centred approach to counselling combined with the knowledge and ability to apply other therapeutic tools to meet each client’s differing needs.
For example, I’m trained in Compassion Focused Therapy, developed by Professor Paul Gilbert and qualified to practice “the rewind technique” for clients with P.T.S.D. – post-traumatic stress disorder.
I am an Associate Member of the I.S.P. C. (International Society for Professional Counsellors), an organisational member of B.A.C.P.
I have significant experience working as a volunteer in the charitable sector and the private sector. As a counsellor working for St. Barnabas Hospice, Lincoln, I see clients experiencing grief and loss, health-related issues and terminal illness. As a counsellor working in the private sector, including Supporting Minds, Lincoln, I have also worked with issues such as anxiety and depression, past trauma, family and relationship problems, carer support, low self-esteem, separation and divorce.
Advanced DBS checked.
“Jane’s approach is incredibly compassionate, gentle and patient which are great ingredients for counselling sessions. I feel incredibly grateful for every session we have had. I have grown in confidence and have made positive changes in my life.”Fran Burton
